🦩6.9 BirdWatching Society: Designing Ecotourism trip routes for Wawu mountain

twining w sangye

For the previous three days, our birdwatching society team worked in the Wawu Mountain area of Giant Panda National Park (Meishan Sector). Just like what we did earlier at Xiling Snow Mountain (Chongzhou Sector), where the area is also half protected, half open for the public.

Our team surveyed bird species, identify hotspots, and check hotels, food, and specialties. Our goal: design ecotourism trip routes the public can follow. These routes bring income during the cold off-season. The money supports local conservation and maintenance.

It was a three-night trip. This time, the whole team came along. Felt less like work, more like a get together. Great vibes all around.
