🦩11.14 Representing Chengdu Birdwatching Society at the 13th Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden Birding Festival

Next week I’ll be representing the Chengdu Birdwatching Society at the 13th Birdwatching Festival hosted by the Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The event will last five days, including both competitions and academic forums that bring together birdwatchers and researchers from across the country.

I hope I can manage to attend my school classes in between the sessions and stay focused during the trip. Before leaving, I’m planning to study more Yunnan bird species in advance and prepare well for the field competition.

This will be an amazing opportunity to learn from experienced birders, exchange knowledge with other regional groups, and strengthen connections within China’s growing birdwatching community. I’m excited to represent Chengdu, meet new partners, and bring back fresh ideas for our projects at home.
