🐦⬛9.30 Luhu: Turning Art into Action— Our Anti Bird-Collision Designs Take Flight at A4 Museum
A4 Art Museum and artist Liuyi invited me again for the opening of a new exhibition, The Lexicon of the Everyday. On the museum balcony they set up bird collision prevention stickers based on my suggestions for width and spacing. These designs came from our earlier DIY sticker workshop with citizens, created together by our project group and participants.
Seeing the stickers in place is both creative and practical. They are not only cute but also innovative in preventing bird strikes. What started as a small workshop is now shaping how cultural institutions think about wildlife protection.
Our project is also formally recognized in the exhibit’s archive section as an important partner. This shows that our work is trusted and impactful. We are proving that art, science, and community action can change real spaces and reduce conflict between people and wildlife.
I hope to see similar bird-safe stickers appear in community parks soon.
