🪺8.20 CBBS: Contributing to the 2025 Breeding Bird Survey Summary Meeting

When I lead events I‘m the leader, but also feeling like a bird-watching companion who shares the journey with everyone.When I negotiate collaborations I feel like a startup founder lol. But in my Wildlife Tech Lab position I often feel like a cautious worker carrying the load carefully. Yep different modes and different roles recently.

Today was the 2025 Breeding Bird Survey summary meeting. My main job was handling check-in and a lot of side tasks. I never expected they would actually use the data visuals I prepared and even thank me for them. On top of that they gave me an award. A big surprise and a warm moment.

Work is often exhausting but this team always gives me energy and warmth.
