🪵6.27 Wood Snipe Project: Always Happy to Reunite with These Buddies

I’ve been in the city for a while, but now it’s time to head back to the mountains, to Pingwu. The work continues—breeding bird surveys.

Target’s specific though. Tracking the breeding sites for wood snipes. This year they arrived later than last year. Maybe it’s because the change in daylight hours came later, so their signal was delayed.

But honestly, none of that matters much. What matters is—I’m back out here, and I get to hear their calls again. That sound never fails to make me happy. It might be my last year tracking them, since I might be off to graduation or trips elsewhere for my senior year May. 😭 I’m gonna miss them.
